Hi EFMs,
My elephone S8 was really good and reliable at rechargeable for past 7 months. It would charge quite fast especially when the battery is low but all of a sudden, it's stopped charging well.

I'm currently charging it at 35% and it's breaking even.

I use an app (accubattery) that tells me how much charge I'm getting and normally, when I'm below 50%, I get at least 1000 mA but I'm barely getting 300 mA and that's with a smart charger that's been quite reliable.

I've tried different cables and different power banks. I have yet to try my home wall charger (which is the original elephone S8 charger). I'll update how that goes soon.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Clinton

On my way home last night, I decided to turn it off entirely while charging with my power bank. I noticed it gained 20% by the time I got home (about 50 mins later). I then plugged it in to my wall charger and it continued to charger another 30% over the course of an hour and a half. It seems to be back to normal. It's weird because I restarted it 3 or 4 times yesterday.

I have a theory. I noticed that when I restart, I still have the apps I had opened before the restart when I hold the home key. If it remembers those apps, what other background stuff is it remembering? Anyway, I think it looks like a little spare glitch. I'll update this if anything else develops.

Second day since this issue started. It's still charging painfully slow. Even in the 20% area (which I know usually charges quite fast) it was slowish. I just bought a fresh cable to troubleshoot this and even with this cable, it's charging slower. Wall charging seems to be working well though. As I'm typing, it's on 57% and I'm charging with an average of 1300 mA.
