Hi,

my company's security team have send me a warning about my phone data connection.

My phone have tryed to connect to the malaware site bigdata.advmob.cn . Scanned by malawarebytes android apps, malaware was found in system application "fotaprovider" and "upgradesys" that i can't deactivare or remove from phone.

So, can i have some explanations from elephone?

Can i have suggestion from user's forum of how to resolve the problem?

   Thank you,
Bye

sounds like a false positive.

it's the update software on your phone. as your p6000 is probably not receiving any updates you can deactivate the update software manually

farsiray,

how can i disable automatic update? If i go into "fotaprovider" or "upgradesys" apps by app menu, the disable button is unpressable.

About false positive, the malware was detected by company's security systems with detailed timestamp and ip so is not an error; my phone have tryed to connect to a malware site.

   Thank you.
Bye

You may want to replace the stock ROM by my updated LineageOS 12.1 (credits to Deepflex). Download link and instructions here:

Of course, standard disclaimer applies:
When doing so, YOUR PHONE'S WARRANTY (if there still is any) IS VOID!!! Use fully at your own risk.
