Hello everybody,

I did the firmware upgrade to Android N on my P9000 this weekend (Stock ROM P9000 7.0_20170904). Previously I used Android MM.
When setting up the Microsoft Outlook app, I unfortunately failed. Outlook always requires setting up a screen lock even though it is already configured. (Everything worked fine before the upgrade)
According to our admin of the Exchange server is configured to request only a 4-digit PIN, which I have also configured on the phone.
(the options "no screen lock" and "swipe" are disabled by policy)
I tried to disable Smart Lock, but that did not solve the problem.
The configuration of the Exchange account via the GMail app does not work either. The message "Update security settings required" will always be displayed here and then you will also be taken to the security settings for the screen lock.
What causes the problem in the Android N version for the Elephone P9000?
Various searches on the internet did not get me any further.

Greeting
CaptainIglu

May be the Android security patch version is too old. For this version it's June 05, 2017. I don't think that they will provide an update on this topic.

I installed the firmware with SPFT.
Previously installed ROM was P9000_Android 6.0_20170112.

I guess I have to downgrade in order to get Outlook working again.
